About DigitalSand

I’m Emmanuel Tsouris. DigitalSand is where I share the things I make and the things I’m learning along the way.

That includes apps, camera setups, projects with my xTool S1 laser, and experiments with photography, video, and music. I’m also planning to get into 3D printing and document the experience from the beginning.

The name comes from a simple idea I had in 1998: digital sand. Pixels and silicon shaped into sandcastles and sculptures—taking an idea and seeing what you can make of it.

Sometimes I’m making something I need. Sometimes I want to learn a tool. Sometimes I’m just curious enough to try.

What you’ll find here

Projects, equipment notes, unboxings, and a look behind the scenes of things I’m creating—including productions such as Charged & Hungry. Some creations have their own home here, too, like my iOS apps.

I share what I tried, what I learned, and what I’d change. When I revisit a project or learn more about a piece of equipment, I can add those discoveries to its page.

Everything here is my own work and my own opinion, not my employer’s.
